The HCDC membership is composed of a diverse group of people from all walks of life who support the ideals of the Democratic Party. We are inclusive, welcoming people of any religion, race, ethnic group and gender orientation. We work to identify and elect the most qualified and conscientious public servants to office. Volunteers are always needed to help with such activities as candidate searches, phone banking, mailings, fundraising, canvassing, poll working/watching, being in parades, having a booth at Glen Allen Days, etc. We have fun as we work. The Committee has grown steadily over the years, and the energy, enthusiasm, and commitment of our members are making a vital difference in influencing the political process.
We welcome guests and new members to our meetings, which are held the second Monday of every month. Check our Calendar for details. Also check the Calendar and the Volunteer page for updated information on specific volunteer opportunities.
Join HCDC! We invite you to become an active HCDC member and volunteer. You can help us to turn and keep Henrico County and all of Virginia Democratic BLUE. We also have the HCDC Grassroots Society – Growing Democracy from the Ground Up – a sustainer program whose members support the work of the HCDC through monthly or yearly contributions. Go to the HCDC Grassroots Society page to learn more about it.
