State Central Committee

The DPVA Central Committee is made up of 20 members from each of Virginia’s 11 Congressional Districts, elected during gubernatorial years. Members are nominated from local committees (such as Henrico, Richmond City, Hanover) at Congressional District conventions in May, and serve four-year terms. Those interested in serving file a Declaration of Candidacy form. The Central Committee organizes the Democratic Party throughout the Commonwealth and aids with the victory of the Democratic Party in all elections. Click here for more information about the Central Committee.
