HCDC BLACK CAUCUS

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Black Caucus is to sustain a representative presence on the Henrico Democratic Committee where the collective voices of Black Henrico residents will be recognized, appreciated, and respected. Our members hail from within all five magisterial districts of Henrico County and beyond.

Traditionally, the Black Community has generally supported the Democratic Party platform as a means of improving the way of life for our citizens. The Henrico County Democratic Black Caucus is committed to advancing Democratic values, increasing the number of Black Democrats elected, providing support to Local, State and Federal elections, and advocating for legislation that addresses a myriad of social issues that are often overlooked.
