You must vote at your assigned neighborhood precinct on Election Day.

Deadline for Voter Registration and Absentee Ballot Applications

• Frid, Oct 23, 2026 at 5:00 PM is the deadline to register to vote, or update an existing registration and last day for receipt of absentee ballot applications by mail and fax. 

• After the official Voter Registration deadline, new voters or those who have moved can Same Day Register and cast a Provisional Ballot. You may same day register at Early Voting locations during the early voting period. On Election Day, you must go to the
  polling place for the precinct in which you reside.

Deadline to Return Mail-in Absentee Ballots

• Hand delivery (preferred) - Return mail-in ballots to Henrico Election dropboxes (available 24/7) or deliver to polling locations on Election Day. Deadline: Tues, Nov 3, 2026 at 7:00 pm. 

• Mail - If you must return your ballot by mail, carefully complete and mail back ASAP to ensure your ballot counts. Deadline: Postmarked on or before Tues, Nov 3, 2026 and received by the Registrar's office by 12:00 pm on Frid, Nov 6, 2026.
