The Henrico Dems are calling a caucus of all Democrats to Libbie Mill Library on Monday, April 22nd from 6:30pm to 8:00pm for both Congressional District 1 and Congressional District 4.

About the event
In August 2024, Democrats from around the country will meet in Chicago, IL to select our nominee for President and Vice President of the United States. In addition, Democrats adopt our party platform and showcase to the world the strength and unity of our party. The Convention marks the official transition from primary to general election. Virginia will send 119 National Delegates and 8 Alternates to the Democratic National Convention.
What does this mean and why is this important? On April 22nd, we will gather to vote for the delegates at the county level. On May 18th, democrats will meet at the Congressional level to choose delegates to go to the State and National Conventions.

Additional Dates to keep on your calendar:
May 18th - Congressional Caucuses for CD-4 will be held in Petersburg and CD-1 will be held in Ashland to elect the delegates at the State and National Conventions.
June 22nd - State Convention will take place to elect Party Leaders and Elected Officials (PLEOs), alternates, at-large delegates, and Presidential Electors.
August 19th to 22nd - National Convention takes place in Chicago, IL
