Mark your calendars and come join us for a meaningful, eye-opening, and action-driven evening with the HCDC Black Caucus. This is Gun Safety Month and we’re diving into one of the most urgent challenges facing our communities: gun violence, and more importantly, what we can do about it.

Yes, overall crime is down in Henrico (and we’re glad for it), but gun violence continues to hit Black neighborhoods the hardest. This meeting is all about understanding the issue, hearing from folks on the front lines, and learning how we can support real, community-based solutions.

We’ve got a powerful lineup:

• A briefing from the Henrico Police Division

• Updates from the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office

• A gun safety presentation from Be SMART

• A policy expert walking us through the latest on gun safety legislation

And yes! There will be snacks!
