Henrico Dems Call To Caucus!!! Moved to Zoom Exclusively

Now, it’s time for our biennial reorganization. Every two years, local Democratic committees across Virginia update their membership and vote to reconstitute. It’s simple:

• Fill out the Declaration of Candidacy

• Pay dues (or request a waiver if needed)

• Read the Call To Caucus Here

• Stay involved with one of the strongest grassroots committees in the Commonwealth

No ceremony. No test. No scavenger hunt. Just a quick form and an ActBlue link.

Re-Org Caucus Update for Tonight!

Because December is being… December, and out of an abundance of caution about the weather, tonight’s Re-Organization Caucus will be held entirely on Zoom.

With holidays, travel, and general December chaos upon us, it makes more sense to get this wrapped up tonight rather than reschedule. The only business allowed is the formal “poof” where we dissolve and re-constitute the committee, quick, simple, and hopefully painless.

What you need to know:

• You do not need to attend to be voted in, as long as you’ve filled out the Google form and/or paid dues via ActBlue.

• Deadline to join or renew is 7:30 PM.

• Only members who have joined/re-upped will receive the Zoom link.

• The caucus starts at 7:30 PM, and this is a closed meeting.

• You must be logged in by 7:30 to participate.

How to Become a Member

-Fill out the Declaration of Candidacy (our membership form)online.

-Pay your dues.

You may attend via Zoom, but attendance is not required to become a member. As long as your form and dues are submitted by the deadline, you’re included. Only those voted in at the caucus will be eligible to participate in January’s officer elections.

If dues are a hardship for any reason, you can request a quiet, judgment-free waiver by emailing the Chair at alsuinpreis@gmail.com. If you’re able and want to chip in a little extra, we won’t turn you away.
