Join us for our next Henrico Dems Monthly Meeting TONIGHT,Monday, June 9th at the Western Government Center. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the meeting runs from 7:30–9:00 PM.
We’re thrilled to welcome Salaam Bhatti, a nationally recognized poverty lawyer who has fought to protect SNAP, TANF, and school meals in Virginia, and now champions those programs at the federal level. We’ll also hear from Jay Jones, Democratic candidate for Attorney General of Virginia, as he shares his vision for justice and leadership across the Commonwealth and Jewel Gatling, Virginia Organizing Manager for Care in Action. Through advocacy, grassroots organizing, and leadership development, Care in Action is working to ensure that the workers who care for our homes, families, and communities are finally seen, heard, and respected. Jewel brings a wealth of experience and passion to this work, and we're looking forward to hearing her insights on organizing, policy, and the path to lasting change.
